3 Days in Amsterdam
I’m in Amsterdam (Netherlands) for 3 days at the moment. I just arrived yesterday but my first impression is already a good one! I was able to get a very good easyjet offer for a flight from Basel (Switzerland) which isn’t far from home and am staying at a hostel now.
The only bad thing up to now? The weather! It’s just raining all the time.
I already had a look at some awesome Rembrandt paintings and others at the Rijks museum, went around many places of the city and got quite a good overview now.
You’ll hear more about my trip and some particularly interesting things and places soon!
Greetings from the Netherlands!

Update after the trip:
Amsterdam has been really worth the visit and left me very impressed. I found so many nice little corners and got to see a lot by exploring the city on foot. It is awesome to walk around all the canals that are lined with beautiful gabled houses and the narrow alleys filled with nicely decorated shops and cozy cafés and restaurants. Visiting the Rijks Museum (12€) with its vast art collections of painters such as Rembrandt was really worth it, compared to the Van Gogh Museum which didn’t really satisfy me – irrespective of its higher price (14€). It was awesome to watch a movie in the old “Tuschinsky” Movie Theatre. Usually movies are shown in English with Dutch subtitles.
Make sure to leave some unplanned time that lets you walk around just where it leads you!
I can highly recommend Amsterdam as a destination! There’s something for everyone.
