Et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis!

Those Latin words mean “And on earth peace to men of good will” and appear in many classical christmas oratorios. I found them to be a good title for this blogpost!

Now we have christmas already and the year is gonna come to an end soon. For me this is the right time to look back onto the whole year and to acknowledge what a great time I had. It seems like this has been the most exciting year I had in a long time and I’m truly thankful for everything I was able to experience.
Many things happened: I graduated from school and an interesting new period of my life began to start. The most exhilarating event of the year was definitely to get admitted for Stanford Summer College and the opportunity to spend two months of my summer there and some holidays with my dad in Hawaii afterwards. I got in touch with so many people and made so many friends at Stanford.
Thank you all for making this such an unforgettable time! I’ll try to write to many of you personally, but it’s a big number of people to give thanks to. I’m really happy to have gotten to know you all and hope to meet most of you again in the near future!

In autumn I had many nice short trips: I went to Berlin and Hamburg, visited some relatives and just recently spent one awesome week with my choir in Estonia.

Furthermore I’m glad that I started dancing again, which is a lot of fun. As an addition I made many new friends there and have fallen in love with one very special person. :)

I wish you all some merry holidays and especially a happy new year 2011. May all your smaller and bigger dreams become reality! Thank you!

Yours
Moritz
