I want to encourage as many people as possible to become Entrepreneurs. The video I am posting does just that and is a fabulous motivation for the weekend. Let it …
One week in Estonia
I’m blogging from the plane as I’m on my way to Estonia’s capital, Tallinn, right now. With me are almost 30 other members of my choir “Temporal“. I’m really looking forward to this exciting week with two concerts and many other activities on our schedule. We will sing a modern christmas oratorio by Estonian composer Urmas Sisask together with the well-known youth choir “Noorus“, which is conducted by award winning Raul Talmar. Back in 2008 we have been already visited by this amazing choir singing the same oratorio at concerts in Germany, France and Switzerland.
I’ve never been to any baltic country before. But Estonia seems to be quite interesting and is far ahead of Germany and many other countries if it comes to technology. As an example, free internet access is guaranteed to every single citizen of about 1.5 million in Estonia.
I will keep you updated on everything!
Update 1, 9th of December, 8:55am, Tallinn:
I had a very comfortable flight with Lufthansa yesterday, who even served some good food and offered drinks all the time on this 2 hour flight. I’ve never experienced anything better than them.
The airport is very small, modern and cozy with its wooden floor. A lot less stressful than Frankfurt.
Outside a bus with two people of Noorus choir was waiting to pick us up. But before we went to the hotel they took us on a tour around the city in this winter wonderland. It was beautiful! We have lots of snow here, but its not colder than about five degrees minus.
We have scheduled a few rehearsals today and will take a closer look at the city, which has 500 mio. inhabitants by the way. I really have a very good first impression of Estonia!
Update 2, 14th of December, 4:08pm, Tallinn:
I’m already at the airport in Tallinn as I’m writing this, waiting for my Lufthansa flight back to Frankfurt. I had such a great time in Estonia! We had two nice concerts, many fun evenings whether in a pub or the hotel and were warmly welcomed by our Estonian friends. The weather was really enjoyable though it snowed most of the time. On monday we had blue sky and sunshine while we went on a nice guided tour through Tallinn. The city has an incredible variety of things to offer and will be Europe’s cultural capital in 2011! On the one hand it has a very medieval flair but on the other hand there are lots of modern buildings from the last 10 to 20 years besides all the remaining ones from soviet times and earlier. All in all it was a very good experience and I can’t imagine that I would have gotten there without the choir.

Wow. Talinn seems to be a huge city with about 500 mio. inhabitants. Didn’t know that Estonia is that big… like that!
I am grateful that somehow I “landed” to read Your blog, searching information about Mark Z.. I live in Estonia, Tallinn and I´m very glad to read that You loved being here
Thank You! I’m glad to hear that. It’s interesting how many people come to my blog searching for Mark Zuckerberg. Am I so easy to find?
